First Aid Worker Refresher - Group A
Ministerial Decree 388/2003 sets out provisions regarding First Aid and introduces a classification of companies to define how First Aid should be organized; it also specifies the content of training courses for First Aid Personnel.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The course is aimed at First Aid Personnel in Group A Companies:
- Industrial companies or production units (e.g., Seveso II - Thermal Power Plants - Nuclear - Extraction and Mining - Underground - Explosives, Powders, and Ammunition);
- Industrial companies or production units belonging to or associated with INAIL tariff groups with a permanent disability accident index greater than 4;
- Companies or production units in the agricultural sector with more than 5 workers.
PROGRAM
Reviewing the concepts learned during the initial training course, with particular attention to updates and practical aspects of first aid, such as:
Acquire practical intervention skills:
- main communication techniques with the National Health Service (NHS) emergency system;
- main first aid techniques for acute cerebral syndromes;
- main first aid techniques for acute respiratory syndrome;
- main cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques;
- main hemorrhage control techniques;
- main techniques for lifting, moving, and transporting an injured person;
- main first aid techniques in case of accidental exposure to chemical and biological agents.
In-depth study of practical intervention skills acquisition:
- first aid techniques for acute cerebral syndromes;
- first aid techniques for acute respiratory syndrome;
- cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques;
- hemorrhage control techniques;
- first aid techniques for lifting, moving, and transporting injured individuals, as well as for accidental exposure to chemical and biological agents.
At the end of the course, a test will be conducted to assess the knowledge acquired, along with a practical resuscitation exercise on a dedicated mannequin. Successfully passing both assessments will lead to the issuance of a certificate of completion, valid for three years, after which a refresher course will be required.
